Close to 15,000 enquires have been made at lenders participating in a 108 billion forint (EUR 261.4m) government programme to support home energy efficiency improvements launched at the start of July, the national economy ministry said. State secretary Gergely Fábián said representatives of participating banks had met ministry officials on Monday to assess the first six weeks of the scheme. Feedback was positive, he added. Fábian said earlier that the scheme could result in 20,000-30,000 renovations.
