Home rental rates in Hungary rose by an annual 10.5% in May, data compiled by the Central Statistics Office (KSH) from listings site Ingatlan.com show. Rental rates in the capital increased by 10.8%. In a month-on-month comparison, home rental rates edged up by 0.7% for the whole country and climbed 1.4% in Budapest. The monthly rental rate for a flat in the capital averaged 235,000 forints (EUR 586) in H2 2023. A home in a large city in the west of the country could be rented for 170,000 forints/month.
