Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, the leader of the ruling Fidesz party, paid a visit to Budapest’s 16th district on the campaign trail, the PM’s press chief said. Orbán held talks with district mayor Péter Kovács in his office, before meeting voters at the Szentmihályi Cultural Centre, Bertalan Havasi said. The prime minister told voters that with the June 9 elections approaching, left-wing politicians would prefer to deny that they were pro-war. „But everyone knows that every single one of them is in [US financier George] Soros’s pocket. Both the old and the new ones,” Orbán said. „And he who pays the piper calls the tune.”
