Factory gate prices in Hungary dropped by an annual 4.3% in February, falling for the seventh month in a row after rising for years, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said. Prices for domestic sale fell by 5.8% and export prices declined by 3.5%. Month on month, prices edged up by 0.5% as prices for domestic sale were up by 0.7% and export prices inched up by 0.3%. Domestic prices of the manufacturing sector, which have a 60.0% weight in the PPI, dropped by 2.0% year on year. Domestic energy prices, which account for 38.6% of PPI, fell by 14.1%. Export prices of the manufacturing sector, which have an 82.9% weight in the PPI, edged up by 0.7%, while energy sector export prices, with a 16.7% weight, dropped by 33.1%.
