Hungary’s National Media and Communications Authority (NMHH) inaugurated a new 15,000sqm facility on Thursday housing a laboratory measuring elecromagnetic compatibility, measuring stations and servers, as well as conference rooms. The cutting-edge equipment and excellent working environment will boost expert training programmes, NMHH head András Koltay said at the event. EMC measurement is a fast-developing field aimed at filtering out interferences and disturbances in broadcasting caused by the swiftly changing technological environment, Koltay said. The new facility will have an important role in health-related testing too, he said. Prime quality EMC measurements will also boost the NMHH’s decision-making processes on frequency assignments, he said. The facility will also offer practical training for university students, Koltay added.
