AGRICULTURE MINISTER MEETS ISRAELI COUNTERPART

Minister of Agriculture István Nagy met Israeli counterpart Avi Dichter. The sides discussed irrigation development, partnerships in education and science, and long-term cooperation in agriculture. Nagy said Hungary was able to produce double the food necessary to feed its population and the country could become a “key partner” for Israel in terms of its food imports. The ministers agreed on the need for a strategic partnership in agriculture between the two countries.
