KÖVÉR IN MONGOLIA: CHANCE FOR PEACE 'IN COOPERATION, NOT IN ISOLATION'

Hungary sees a chance for peace “not in isolation but in cooperation”, and the country looks for partners not only in its neighbourhood “but faraway, too”, László Kövér, the speaker of parliament, said during an official visit to Mongolia. Referring to Mongolia as a “traditionally important partner in north-east Asia”, Kövér highlighted bilateral political and cultural ties, and praised the role of Hungary’s embassy in Ulaanbaatar, reopened in 2015.
Kövér and his Mongolian counterpart Gombojav Zandanshatar agreed that Kövér’s visit could further strengthen cooperation between the two countries’ parliaments, as well as in the areas of the economy, education, and tourism.
The officials expressed their commitment to further developing ties between the two parliaments
