SZÁZADVÉG POLL: FIDESZ MAINTAINS LEAD

If elections were held this Sunday, the ruling Fidesz-Christian Democrat alliance would garner 42% of the vote, while an allied opposition would receive 25%, pollster Századvég said on Friday. If parties of the opposition decided on running individually, Fidesz would garner 40%, to be followed by the satirical Two-tailed Dog party with 11%, and leftist Democratic Coalition and radical Mi Hazánk with 9% each, the pollster said. Momentum would receive 8%, Jobbik and LMP two percent each, and the Socialist Party and Párbeszéd one percent each, Századvég added. Some 12% of those polled would not answer or could not say which party they would prefer. The survey was conducted in March with a sample of 1,000 adults.
