Speaker of Parliament László Kövér has expressed his condolences to his Slovak counterpart Boris Kollár over a deadly car crash in Bratislava late on Sunday. Five people were killed and seven injured after a driver, reportedly drunk, crashed into a bus stop in downtown Bratislava late on Sunday. In his letter of condolence, Kövér said he had been “shocked” to hear of the accident, adding that it was “especially painful” to learn that there were university freshmen among the victims. On behalf of the Hungarian parliament, Kövér expressed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims and his Slovak counterpart.
