Certain European Union politicians, with Vice President of the European Commission Věra Jourová in the lead, “are behaving like bad kids who simply can’t stand to lose in a fair competition,” so they are creating more and more rules until the point they can finally win, Justice Minister Judit Varga said. Varga said on Facebook that Jourová had “shared her favourite passion at Easter as well by slandering Hungarian democracy, this time in an interview with a German magazine”. “That was the case with the Article 7 procedure and so it is now with the rule of law mechanism,” she added. Varga said “Hungarian democracy is doing great but we have enough of the constant slanders of the Brussels bubble. Especially of Ms. Jourova constantly running the same malicious and unnecessary circles”. “But as they say: the pitcher will go to the well…,” she added.
