MANAGERS OF CHILDREN'S RAILWAY SUSPEND OPERATIONS AFTER YOUNG LEADER CONTRACTS CORONAVIRUS

After a young leader of the Children’s Railway in the Buda hills of the capital tested positive for coronavirus on Thursday, the railway’s management has suspended operations for a period of two weeks. The youth in question had taken part in a camp organised for youth leaders and was not present at an inauguration ceremony held the previous day, national railway company MÁV told MTI. The trains running on narrow-gauge tracks will not run between Hűvösvölgy and Széchenyihegy until Sept. 11 as a preventative measure to protect the company’s young workers and passengers.
