SZIJJÁRTÓ: GOVT SECURES DRINKING WATER TO 100,000 IN UGANDA

The Hungarian government has secured drinking water supplies to 100,000 people in Uganda and built a cyber-security centre under the arrangements of the first phase of a 2019 agreement, Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said. Szijjártó said on Facebook that in line with the agreement signed with counterpart Sam Kahamba Kutesa, Hungary would provide 5 billion forints (EUR 14m) worth of development support to Uganda over the course of a three-year programme. The next two projects to be implemented will include developing an identification system for registering migrants and refugees arriving in the country and supplying medical equipment for a cardiovascular health centre, he added.
