Hungary’s protective measures against the novel coronavirus pandemic have been successful and the number of infections and deaths have been “very favourable” compared to other countries, Minister of Human Resources Miklós Kásler said. The government has made preparations for a worst-case scenario in order to prevent the collapse of the health-care system, he told public Kossuth Rádió.
Commenting on remarks made in an open letter by the Hungarian Doctors’ Chamber, he said all the required information had been communicated to them and daily press conferences have been held. The medical college has prepared professional guidelines and all questions put by hospitals have been answered, he added.
