ORBÁN MEETS NORTH MACEDONIA PARTY DELEGATION

 

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who heads Hungary’s ruling Fidesz party, met leaders of North Macedonia’s VMRO, Fidesz’s sister party. VMRO chairman Hristijan Mickoski and deputy leader Aleksandar Nikoloski briefed Orbán on North Macedonia’s election campaign, the prime minister’s press office said. The officials asked the Orbán to press the European Union to start accession talks with North Macedonia as soon as possible. The migration crisis at the Turkey-Greece border was also discussed, as well as political challenges facing the European People’s Party, of which both Fidesz and VMRO are members.
