AUDIT OFFICE TO REVIEW LOCAL AUTHORITIES FOR ANTI-CORRUPTION COMPLIANCE

 

Hungary’s state audit office (ÁSZ) is reviewing the compliance of local authorities in tackling corruption. Over the next two weeks, councils will be required to submit up-to-date documents showing their anti-graft activity in terms of their daily operations, the auditor said. The state of emergency connected to the novel coronavirus heightens the risk of corruption, ÁSZ said, adding that orderly operations and rules-observance was of paramount importance.
