DK PRESSES FOR FREE HOME TESTS

The opposition Democratic Coalition (DK) is urging the government to procure rapid home tests for the novel coronavirus and make them available free of charge to Hungarian citizens, the party’s spokesman said.
Various rapid tests have become available in Europe and the US that give results in a few minutes or hours, Balázs Barkóczi said on Facebook.
Such tests could be transported to Hungary in a week or two and they would help radically reduce the spread of infection, he said. Additionally, they would free the health-care system of a huge burden, considering that “centralised state testing has collapsed”, Barkóczi said.
