Hungary had a 134 million euro trade surplus in December, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said in a first reading of data. The surplus narrowed by 247 million euros from the same month a year earlier. Exports dropped by an annual 0.8% to 7.580 billion euros. Imports were up 2.6% at 7.446 billion euros. About 77% of exports and 74% of imports were traded with other European Union member states. The trade surplus for the full year came to 4.985 billion euros, narrowing by 535 million euros from 2018.
Exports rose by 4% to 109.061 billion euros and imports were up 4.8% at 104.076 billion euros.
