Minister of Innovation and Technology László Palkovics, in Berlin on Friday for talks with German federal minister for economic affairs and energy, Peter Altmaier, praised “excellent” Hungarian-German industrial cooperation. Palkovics said in a statement that there were no issues of conflict, adding that uncertainty in recent years with regard to the key automotive sector was a thing of the past. He noted that Hungarian car production, based on the German car industry, had contributed significantly to Hungary’s economic growth rate of 5%, and the sector was “optimistic about the future”. The minister noted that German industry and politicians had acted decisively to end the uncertainty of recent years, taking a lead over what the “car of the future” should be.
