OFFICIAL: NEW VOCATIONAL TRAINING TO BRIDGE GAP BETWEEN EDUCATION, JOB MARKET

Vocational teachers have come around to the government’s measures aimed at bridging the gap between Hungary’s vocational training system and the needs of the job market, an innovation and technology ministry official said in an interview to Friday’s edition of the daily Magyar Nemzet. Under Hungary’s new, more flexible vocational training system modelled after an Austrian law, young people enrolled in vocational training programmes will have access to valuable scholarships and gain work experience, state secretary Tamás Schanda told the paper. The changes will also mean increased wages as well as more favourable and flexible working conditions for teachers, he added.
