More than 250,000 Hungarians now use the banking service app developed by UK fintech startup Revolut, the company’s manager for Poland told business daily Világgazdaság. Karol Sadaj told the paper Hungarian users had made transactions adding up to 96 million euros last month. Revolut no longer bunches Hungary together with the CEE region but regards the country as an independent market, he added. The number of Hungarian Revolut users is on the rise, and the average age of users is also increasing, Sadaj said. Revolut plans to start offering a Hungarian-language customer service and wants to get a domestic IBAN, the paper said.
