Investment volume in Hungary rose by an annual 14.8% in the third quarter, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said. In absolute terms, investments came to 2,684.4 billion forints (EUR 7.98bn) during the period. Construction investments increased by 15.8%, reaching 1,601.6 billion forints. Machinery investments climbed 13.6% and stood at 1,062.9 billion forints. Manufacturing sector investments jumped 28.6%, reaching 740.6 billion forints. Investments in the logistics sector were up 17.1% at 496.8 billion forints. Real estate investments increased by 22.6% to reach 452.3 billion forints. Private sector investments were up 28.7% at 1,606.5 billion forints. Public sector investments edged up 0.2 of a percent to 385.7 billion forints.
