HUNGARY, UGANDA MINISTERS DISCUSS MIGRATION, COOPERATION

Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó discussed migration and bilateral cooperation with Elly Tumwine, Uganda’s security minister, in Budapest.
Mass migration coming from Africa can only be prevented in future by providing sufficient development aid to countries in that continent, Szijjártó told reporters after the meeting. Hungary will contribute its part according to its available resources, he said. This year, an economic development programme with a budget of 5.16 million forints (EUR 15,000) has been launched in Uganda, he said. In another form of cooperation Hungarian companies will set up a cyber-security centre and install a biometric personal identification system, Szijjártó said.
