SZIJJÁRTÓ: CENTRAL EUROPE ENGINE OF EUROPEAN GROWTH

The central European region has become an engine of European growth, Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said at the opening of a biomass power station owned by Hungarian-Croatian company AMS Biomasa in Virovitica (Verőce). “A new Europe was born thirty years ago when central Europeans could regain their place among the group of countries they had always belonged to,” Szijjártó told the event. “By today, thirty years later, the central European region has become the engine of European growth,” he added. Central Europeans and the countries that represented them have done much to achieve this, he said. Hungarians and Croatians have good reason to be proud of their countries that are among strong European states thanks to their sensible economic policies, he added. Economic cooperation between the two countries has played an important role in this, he added.
