TICKETS TO PUSKÁS ARENA INAUGURAL MATCH SELL OUT IN DAYS

Tickets for the inaugural match at Budapest’s Puskás Ferenc Arena, a state-funded, UEFA category 4 stadium that can seat close to 68,000, sold out on Monday, hours after they went on sale to the general public, the Hungarian Football Association (MLSZ) said. Tickets for the friendly match between Hungary and Uruguay went on sale on Friday, but were available only to official Fan Club members for a period of three days. Registered fans had scooped up more than 25,000 tickets by Friday evening. MLSZ noted that registered fans’ ranks had swelled by almost 18,000 in the previous days. A little before noon on Monday, MLSZ said tickets to the match on November 15 had sold out.
