HUNGARY, INDIA WATER PURIFICATION PROJECT CONCLUDED

 

Hungary’s Pannon University in Veszprém and the Energy and Resources Institute of India have concluded a three-year natural water purification project, the university said. They have developed a technology capable of removing bioactive antibiotics, hormones, drug residues and phenolic derivatives present in small quantities in industrial wastewaters and surface waters,it said. The project was implemented between July 1, 2016 and June 30 this year under a Hungary-India research and development cooperation scheme. It was supported by Hungary’s National Research, Development and Innovation Office with a 28.7 million forint (EUR 88,000) grant.
