Germany’s Thyssenkrupp is building a 17.4 billion forint (EUR 53m) camshaft plant in Pécs, in south Hungary, the foreign minister announced in Budapest on Friday. The government is supporting the investment, which will create 200 jobs, with a 5.57 billion forint grant, Péter Szijjártó told a press conference. Marc de Bastos Eckstein, Thyssenkrupp’s executive director, said the Pécs plant will be the company’s fifth base in Hungary.
