EP ELECTION TURNOUT AT HUNGARY'S FOREIGN MISSIONS 86.5%

 

Turnout at Hungary’s diplomatic missions abroad was 86.5% at the recent European Parliament elections, the national election office reported.
Hungarian citizens with permanent residency in Hungary could vote at 132 diplomatic missions abroad, including embassies and consulates, information published by the election office online shows. A total of 20,291 people registered to vote and 17,551 went to the polls, submitting 17,485 valid votes, the election office added. The largest number of Hungarians registered in London, where 1,372 submitted their votes, followed by 1,153 in Brussels, 1,032 in Munich, and 921 in Berlin.
Of all valid votes 7,222 or 41.3% were submitted for the ruling Fidesz-Christian Democrats, 5,078 or 29.04% for Momentum, 1,678 or 9.6% for Democratic Coalition, 1,113 or 6.37% for the Socialists-Párbeszéd, 913 or 5.22% for the satirical Two-tailed Dog Party, 700 or 4.0% for LMP, 400 or 2.29% for Jobbik, 362 or 2.07% for Mi Hazánk and 19 or 0.11% for the Hungarian Workers’ Party.
