Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó and Tünde Handó, head of the Hungarian Office of the Judiciary, signed a cooperation agreement on the export of the Hungarian digital court system in Budapest. After the signing, Szijjártó told a press conference that intellectual property had a growing share in Hungary’s booming exports. Hungary has recently signed a cooperation agreement with Sri Lanka on opening a 149 million euro credit line for projects including the modernisation of the country’s public administration and judiciary system, he noted. Within that framework, the e-court system will be exported for some 32 million euros, he said. Handó said the e-court system facilitates remote hearings, electronic documentation and the parties’ 24-hour access to the documents.
