The Hungarian unit of Danish toy maker Lego expects “moderate, but stable” revenue growth at its base in Nyíregyháza in north-eastern Hungary this year, Lego Manufacturing Kft said in Tuesday’s issue of business daily Világgazdaság. Last year, the unit’s revenue rose to 36 billion forints (EUR 111.4m) from 33 billion forints in 2016. Lego is continuously investing at the base, which shows it is planning for the long term locally, communications director Lóránt Siket told the paper. Lego employs some 2,500 people at the base in Nyíregyháza, turning out 60 million building blocks a day. The plant is one of five around the world.
