The third block of the Paks nuclear power plant shut down on Tuesday afternoon after a pump malfunctioned, the head of communications of MVM Paksi Atomerőmű told MTI. Antal Kovács said the event had no impact on nuclear safety and the operation of the other three blocks. Experts are replacing the pump and the block should again be operational at its nominal capacity by the second half of next week.
